In Gurgaon, four youngsters run over by a train while snapping selfies

According to authorities, four people died when a train ran over them on the tracks at Basai Dhankot railway station on Tuesday evening. According to police, the four were taking a selfie on the tracks when they were knocked over by the train, according to a preliminary investigation.

According to authorities, the incident occurred about 5 p.m., as the Jan Shatabdi Express (12066) was crossing from Basai Dhankot in Gurgaon on its way from Sarai Rohilla in Delhi to Ajmer.

“According to people in the vicinity, four boys had come on a scooter and after parking it near the railway crossing, they were taking a selfie on their phone when they were hit by the train,” a police officer said on condition of anonymity.

Police said they were attempting to locate the victims’ families. The bodies were taken to the civil hospital’s mortuary.

The victims were identified as Sameer (19), Mohammad Anas (20), Yusuf alias Bhola (21) and Yuvraj Gogia (18), residents of Devilal colony.

One of them was a class 9 student, while the other worked at a mobile shop, according to police.
